It's been 15 years since we first started delivering in-house courses to local authorities, charities, health care trusts, community care organisations, prison services and supported housing providers.
Very different training projects but with one thing in common: a focus on real staff and real service users delivered by trainers who have been there and done it themselves!
While we’re busy pioneering innovative approaches to health and social care training, traditional classroom-based courses remain a very important part of what we do.
We can deliver subjects from our own portfolio (see left) or source your precise learning requirements from our network of proven trainers with front-line experience and proven expertise in their fields.
During the course we’ll be enabling delegates to:
Clarify the real-world meaning of behaviours that are 'challenging', 'difficult' or 'anti-social'
Assess client behaviours in terms of the 'what' 'when' 'how' and 'why' questions
Create action/care/support plans which a) promote positive client behaviours b) make sense to the client and c) can be adopted consistently by those involved with that individual
Evaluate and summarise the progress of our plans
Identify new and existing skills (The Toolkit) used by ourselves and colleagues when supporting service users and vulnerable adults
