About JCK Training

Who we are

JCK Training has been a key provider of learning solutions to the health and social care sector since 1998. With a firm clinical background in forensic mental health and learning disability we specialised in some of the more 'niche' areas of delivery, but gradually expanded our portfolio to reflect the ever growing learning needs of the many NHS Trusts, Local Authorities, charities and supported housing providers we have worked with over the last fifteen years.

Our Trainers

JCK Training was set up by former mental health nurse Connor Kinsella and his wife Caroline. Connor is Lead Trainer with JCK and continues to run most of our courses. Associate Trainer Brian Daly also provides specialist input to our portfolio with expertise in Challenging Behaviour, Mental Capacity and Learning Disability. We'll be expanding our team of trainers over the course of 2013, making our services even more accessible, more affordable and more specific to the learning and development needs of our health and social care clients. You can find out more about our current trainers here.

What we do

We've always prided ourselves on our excellent reputation as a provider of in-house courses, delivering traditional classroom-based, face-to-face training for groups of care and support staff up and down the United Kingdom.

But with social care budgets cut to the bone in recent years we've been busy developing alternative learning and development options for our clients. We've widened the scope. Not just of what we do and the subjects we cover, but how we do it!

Right from Day One we've always believed in working closely with clients to design courses that really work for their staff and service users. Whether it's a prison, hospital or care home, every organisation has different needs. Different service users, different circumstances, different services, different demands. So as well as continuing to offer our well established in-house courses:

We can also work with you to

  1. Develop highly flexible course materials and In-House Training programmes specifically tailored to your needs

  2. Work with you and your colleagues to conduct leaning needs analyses. We'll spend 'hands-on' time with staff and can really get to grips with how to best meet the training needs of your organisation, your staff and the service users with whom they work

  3. Provide a range of professional, tailor-made Train the Trainer programmes to help organisations provide their own courses and make learning and development a truly cost-effective, locally-focussed and flexible process

  4. Deliver short, intensive and highly flexible Bite Size chunks of learning for front-line staff

  5. Design Training Packs specially adapted for particular services and client groups for delivery by an in-house trainer or senior member of staff

Costs

No two projects are ever the same but we will provide a guaranteed, no-obligation quotation once the amount and degree of work has been ascertained. In most circumstances the fee quoted will be the fee invoiced on successful completion of the project, but in the rare circumstances where this is not possible we’ll liaise with you to ensure a fair and reasonable price for our services.

Your quotation will include all expenses such as travel and accommodation, and will be guaranteed for a period of three months from receipt. We'll submit a 30-day invoice on successful completion of the work, and can guarantee that all costs will be highly competitive with other training consultancies. A chat by email, phone or even Twitter will cost you absolutely nothing, so please don’t be shy about getting in touch!
